The problems of wood pellet mill that occurs frequently

Many failures often occur during the application of wood pellet mill, some of the problems occur during the mechanical operation, some of them often occur during the frequent operation. Some are due to the machine quality, and some are due to the neglect of protection and maintenance of machine. Since the problems has occurs, we should solve the problems instantly. Today we are going to introduce several problems that often occur during the application of wood pellet mill.


 

1.When the wood pellet mill has been operated for a period of time, the output of wood pellet mill decreased. The reason is that the die is aging or damaged, or the clearance of compression roller and die become large, it can affect the efficiency of wood pellet mill. The new die should be replaced or the clearance between the die and the compression roller should be adjusted if it is because of that.

 

2.When no material enter into the compression chamber of the wood pellet mill, the reason maybe the piling of material in the hopper or the blocking of feeding auger. The piling of material should be wrecked or the auger should be draw out and cleared.

 

3.The material can enter into the chamber but the pellet can not discharged, the reason maybe the blocking of ring die hole, or too much or less of moisture content of feedstock, or the clearance between the compression roller is too large, or the clearance of the feeding auger plate is too large. As long as we dill the ring die hole by proper drilling bit, or adjust the amount of steam, or adjust the clearance of the compression rollers, or replace the feeding auger plates, these problems should be solved.
 

 

4.The pellet has rough surface after pelletizing of wood pellet mill, the reason is that the wood pellet mill has just begin to use, the die has not been grinded. So the mold should be grinded at first and check up the pellet are smooth or not. The reason maybe the high moisture content if the problem is not like that. Deducing the moisture content of material, the surface of the pellet will become smooth.

 

5.The main motor of wood pellet mill can not start, and the reason maybe that the remained material in the chamber is not cleared or the electric circuit has something wrong. The remained material should be cleared and the failures of circuit should be removed. 

 

6.When the wood pellet mill suddenly stopped, the firs reason considered is the power failure. If the power is on, check up the safety wire of the machine, the overload of operation of machine maybe the reason. If the electric voltage is too low, the machine maybe stopped. When we use the wood pellet mill, the feeding speed should evenly to ensure the machine without blocking.  

 

7.When the output of wood pellet mill does not reach the standard required, the reason maybe the improper of moisture content, or the fine degree of raw material is not proper, or the pellets are too hard; the amount of steam should be adjusted, or the formula should be adjusted, or improve the quality of powdery material, or replace the compression roller to reduce the effective length of rig die hole, or increase the rotation speed of auger of feeding to increase the feeding speed and feeding amount of steam. 

 

8.When the pellet of the wood pellet mill is too loose, the reason maybe that the specification of compression roller is not matched with the feed formula or the mold is aging. If the formula can not be changed, the active length of ring die hole should be changed.
