Recently China is in a rapid development stage of renewable resources. Comparing with other countries in the world, China is provided with rich natural resources and certain industry foundation for the development of renewable resources. And China has extensive development potential in the aspect of resource, technology and industry.
 
In recent years, world security situation for the energy supply is facing challenges due to the instability of the world oil price, frequent turbulent situation in the Middle East and constant diplomatic friction between Russian and neighboring countries. The international community is beginning to converge for the development of the resource, many countries considers it as an important measures for alleviate the contradiction between energy supply and tackle climate change, which issued various policies to increase the local development of the renewable resources
 
America has over 300 coal-fired power stations which use biomass combined with coal to generate power and the total installed capacity of it is up to 6 millions KW. At present, China has not yet specific favorable policies for biomass power generation, so the applying of the combined fuel simply belongs to pilot and demonstration stage. GCL power posses 21 small scale thermal power plants in Jiang Su province, Shan Dong province, An Hui provinces and other provinces, 7 of the power plants have combined biomass material, which includes straw, rice hell, tree bark, reed, sludge of the city sewage treatment plant etc.

Gasification power generation means that biomass materials generate flammable gas after gasification, and burned the gas after purification to drive the combustion engine or gas turbine which drives the generator. According to the scale of the power plant, it can be divided into large scale, middle-sized and small scale. Small scale gasification power generation system has about 200KW generating capacity, which concentrated in African, Indian, China and Southeast Asia countries. The middle-sized power generation system has about 400-3000KW generating capacity, it adopt the gasification technology of fluidized bed which has higher cost without widely applying in the developed countries yet. There are only few demonstration projects in Europe. The large scale biomass gasification power generation system has over 3000KW generating power, which adopts the way of integrated gasification combined cycle (IGCC) with less energy consumption than the conventional system, and the gross efficiency is over 40%. But the immature technology, complicated systems and higher investment has limited the development of the applying of this technology. 
 
Now, Gasification power generation technology which has been applied in the projects are biomass circulating fluidized bed gasification technology which are mainly researched by Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences. After the biomass materials are under the process of gasification, the biogas is purified by the water washing way, and then the purified gas can be used to generate power. In Putian, Fu Jiang province, the first 1MW biomass husk gasification power generation system has been built in china now, and the first biomass sawdust gasification power station has been built in the timber mill in Sanya, Hainan province. And In Handan, He Bei provinces and Gaoyou, Jiang Su province, demonstration plant of gasification power generations have been build which take straw as fuel.
 
As a new-emerging industry, influence of renewable resources is becoming more and more important in the world today. It is estimated that the capacity for wind power is up to 1.2 billion kilowatt per hour in 2020, and the annual business volume is 67000 million Euros. Market for Photovoltaic generation has bright futures and the EU has estimated that the global market for photovoltaic generation is going to rise to 70 million kWh in 2020, which can meet 30% of the power demand of in African or 10% power demand of OECD countries. America has strengthened the technology research and manufacture of the photovoltaic generation further, it estimate that American will account 50% of the global solar photovoltaic battery. The increasing development of the renewable resources will provide more and more job opportunities. The American scholars think that job opportunities that created by the investment in the energy efficiency and solar energy technology and other technology is 2 times than the investment in the oil and gas industry.
