Problems should be noticed when pellet mill is lying idle

How to use pellet mill varies from different pellet mills models. Much of the time we lay the pellet mill aside after use and the pellet mill is lying idle for a long time. Sometimes, we just lay the pellet mill aside at casual places. Damage to the pellet mill is fatal over a long period of time. The pellet mill is often fragile although shell of the machine is made of iron. So we should pay attention to maintenance of the pellet machine not only being use but also be lying idle. There are several issues we should be noticed


 

First, put the pellet mill in a dry place to prevent the inside parts of machine from dampness. It is necessary to take down the motor and keep it in a clean, dry and airy place. Don’t keep the motor in damp places that electrical insulation is drop off when the pellet mill exposed to moisture that leads to electrical short-circuit, leakage of electricity and so on. In addition, pellet mill which made of iron is easy to get rusty if not used for a long time. Service life of pellet mill is considerably reduced. Besides keeping the pellet machine in a dry place we need to clean the accessory of pellet mill regularly. Clearing up residues on the gear is the guarantee of normal operation of pellet machine without influence in the future.
 

Second, prevent the equipment from aging. Rubber parts and non-iron spare parts of pellet mill are easy to get oil or get damp. If not treated timely, the spare parts will be cracked or even broken seriously. Knock down the belt on the conveyor, covered the belt with plastic film and kept it in a dry place which keep a certain distance from the ground.
