Factors affecting the service life of pellet plant

Pellet plant can be used to process materials like crop straw and sawdust into cylindrical pellets through compression of pellet plant. What are the factors affecting the service life and production of pellet plant?



1. If the moisture content of raw material is too low and the hardness is higher, the power consumption and the production cost of enterprise would increase when processing, thus shorten the service life of the pellet pellet. Material with much moisture is not easy to be crushed, which would increase the number of impacting of hammer. Meanwhile, due to the friction of material and impacting of hammer, heat is generated, which would lead to the moisture evaporation inside the processing object. The evaporation of moisture and fine powder crushed would form paste and jams the mesh, thus reducing the discharge of crusher. Generally, the moisture of raw materials such as grain and corn should be controlled under 14%.
2. Permanent magnet or de-ironing separator can be installed in the inlet of pellet plant to ensure the service life of roller, die and the center axis. The temperature of straw pellet feed in the process of extrusion can be up to 50-85℃, and the roller would bear strong force in operation, but lacking necessary and effective dust protection device, so the bearing must be cleaned every 2-5 working days and add grease resistant to high temperature. Cleaning and refuel the main shaft of pellet plant once every other month and make cleaning and maintenance of the gear box once half a year. The fastening and replacement of screw in transmission part should be made at any time.
3. At the end of work, mix a little wheat skin with oil and feed into the machine and operate for 1 to 2 minutes to make the die holes filled with oil plants, so that you can continue the production next time when starting the machine. It is a maintenance for the die and can save time as well. After stopping the pellet plant, loose the adjusting screw of the roller and remove residual material.

The above three factors are the main factors influencing the service life of pellet plant. Although the application of pellet plant is expanding gradually, some customers often ignore the maintenance of pellet plant, resulting in the failure of the machine. The following are the techniques to prolonging the service life of the pellet plant for reference only. Before starting and after using the pellet plant, the equipment should be checked:

1. Before starting the pellet plant, check whether there is any foreign material inside the hopper. Do not put the hand into the hopper or use other tools to stir the material during the operation to avoid danger.
2. Stones, wood, iron or other foreign material shall not be put into the hopper, lest affecting the normal production.
3. In artificial feeding, ensure that there is no stones, wood, iron or other debris in the raw material.
4. When feeding with the conveyer, it is recommended to use the iron removal equipment to make the machine running properly.
5. In the process of production, if there is an abnormal sound in the machine hopper, you should stop the machine timely and remove the foreign object.
6. There is an electric refueling device in the hopper bottom, do not touch it lest burns.
