When should the ring die of wood pellet mill be replaced?

Wood pellet mill is one of the main products of our company, and ring die is the core component of wood pellet mill and also one of the vulnerable parts. Then, when should the ring die of wood pellet mill be replaced?



1. The centering pin or locking bolt of ring die fractures often.
2. The clearance of the ring die and driving wheel rim is very small or even contact.
 
What should be noticed when installing the ring die of wood pellet mill?
1. The installation of ring die
(1) Before installation, the ring die and support surface of the reinforcement ring and the wear ring must be cleaned carefully and coated with a thin layer of molykote grease.
(2) The wear on the width direction of the used ring die must be checked. When necessary, the ring die can be used by turning into the other side.
(3) Install the pin shaft on the mold holder, then knock the pin hole of ring die into the pin roll with a hammer (when using a steel hammer, there must be a packing between the steel hammer and ring die).
(4) Eight high strength bolts and gaskets should be installed and tightened gradually. The high strength bolt must be tightened to specified torque, which is 40 kilograms force.
 
2. The inspection and maintenance of ring die
(1) The wood pellet mill can not idle running for a long time, otherwise the compaction of roller may break the die holes.
(2) Before stopping the wood pellet mill (replacing the ring die), feed some oily feed from the observation door to extrude materials in the die holes and make all the oily feed extruded out from die holes.
(3) The metal debris must be removed.
(4) The plugged die holes must be expanded again.
(5) There must be no material or dirt in the threaded holes.
(6) The damaged bolts should be removed as soon as possible for replacement. Check the discharge distribution and wear of ring die regularly.
Note: since the form and die hole depth are different when processing different materials. Therefore, proper die should be used when making sawdust pellet.
