Then, how to detect whether the finished product of pellet mill is qualified or not? Although it can be seen that in some cases, people are not clear about the fundamental principle. Here are two ways to detect the quality of pellet that users can have a try.
The first test method is that put the pellet produced by biomass pellet machine in a glass of water. If the pellet sinks, it proves that its density is high enough and the forming pressure is sufficient. If the pellet floats on the surface of the water, it proves that its density is low and the quality is poor. From the mechanical point of view, the durability of pellet is very poor that it is easy to be crushed or turn into fine powder.
The second test method is that take a container that can hold at least 1 litre of water and weight it. Fill the container with pellets, then weight it again and minus the net weight of the container. Divide the weight that filled with pellets by the weight that filled with water. The calculation result of qualified pellet should be between 0.6 and 0.7 kg/l, this value could also be seen as the specific proportion of pellet. It is an important parameter, which indicates whether the pressure is correct or not in the manufacturing of pellet. The value of unqualified pellet would be lower than 0.6, they are very easy to be broken and shattered that would produce a lot of fine powders.
