The Southeast Asia pellet market is in depression

In recent years, the Southeast Asia pellet market was in depression continuously and the recovery times was hard. The figures which comprehensively published by the Japan pellet technology Association and Southeast pellet mill Media Industry Association showed that the amount of pellet mill producer and the work stuff, the domestic sales and export etc was decrease in different degree in the Southeast Asia in 2011.

The Southeast Asia has the most advanced pellet equipment in the world. In 2011, the sale of pellet mill and papermaking equipment in the Southeast Asia is over 80 billion, among them 80% come from export, which decrease about 23% and down to 73 billion, the export is decreased 28%. Also the Southeast Asia is the biggest pellet mill equipment supplier which account for 40% of the world export pellet machinery.

The average opening rate of Southeast Asia pellet mill producers was only 88.7% in 2011, which was 3.3% lower than in 2011. The reason for decreasing was that the users of pellet mill especially the advertising pellet mill user's demand was decreasing. In 2011, the amount of newspaper advertise was decreased 17% than the last year, and the magazine advertise was decreased 18%.

The total number of Southeast Asian pellet mill industry employees in 2006 was nearly 180000; it reduced to 182000 in 2010 and to 176800 in 2011. There was a certain number of pellet mill industry workers worked in the large scale enterprises. For example, there was about 83300 workers works in the 788 large scale pellet mill enterprise which had over 60 work stuffs which accounted for 38% of the total number of work stuff in Southeast Asia pellet enterprise. In 2011, 766 large scale pellet enterprises had about 81800 workers, which was decreased about 3.3% than package machinery, and accounted for 38.3% of the total number of the pellet industry.

In recent 10 years, more than 3700 Indonesia enterprises were out of the market. In 2000, the enterprise number of pellet mill enterprise in Southeast Asia was 13822, 11621 in 2006, and 10802 in 2011, and decreased to 10301 continuously in 2011. During the ten years between 2000-2011, the Southeast Asia pellet mill enterprise decreased 3700, it is up to 27% in total. There are about 1/3 of the enterprise was out of the pellet mill market in Southeast Asia, which would be continuous in the future with great extend. It was estimated that there were still about 1/3 pellet mill enterprise would missing in the future 6 years in the Southeast Asia. Until 2016, there would be 3000 enterprises was missing in Southeast Asia. Like many other country, the Southeast Asia pellet mill enterprises was mostly small scale enterprises.
