Dryer-Drum Dryer
Overview
Capable of handling large quantity of raw material, the rotary drum dryer is characteristic of stability, flexibility and adaptability, widely used in the fields of metallurgy, building materials, chemistry and agriculture.
1. Process flow
Regulated by the rationed feeder (equipped with variable frequency motor), fuel in the bunker will be transported into the airheater via chain conveyer to produce dry and hot airflow which will then be induced into the drying drum by the draught fan. The high moisture content feedstock delivered by the belt conveyer will fall into the air lock feeder. Due to the feeder rotation, raw material will flow back to the gyrating drum and mixed with the hot air by shoveling plates so that the material will finally be dried effectively. Thanks to the dip angle of shoveling plate coinciding with the direct flow of the hot air, the material can contact hot air and smoothly flow to the discharge end. The majority of steam can be exhausted out of the chimney at last. Also with the work of fan, dried material will move on to the bottom of the cyclone and discharged. The dryer features continuous work on feeding and discharging. Tail gas will via pipes and fan be emitted from the chimney.
2. Structures
The model consists mainly of bunker, chain conveyer, airheater, feeding devices, rotary drum, pipeline, fans and chimney. The drum is equipped with shoveling plates inside and thermal insulating layers outside and two heads on both ends. On the 4 sets of support wheel are rolling rings. Driven by a motor, the reducer with pinions can drive big gears on the drum to rotate. Technically, the dryer can then be driven to work as a whole.

In the process of drying, stability of the roller and uniformity of the airflow will enjoy a full play, with the drum and connected pipeline conveying materials effectively. Thanks to the above principle, drying intensity is increased yet labor investment reduced.
