In rural area of our country, biomass fuel is often burned directly as the cooking fuel. Due to the simple design of stove in the farmer’s family, the heat efficiency is only about 18%, and the burning process bring large amount of dust and harmful gases, which cause air pollution and serious waste of energy. If every famer need to burn 15Kg straw every day on average, the total consumption of straw is about 5T annually. That means that famer have to burn down all the straw to keep the balance of straw between supply and demand for provinces which have plenty of straws. While for the remote western regions and mountain area which have less farmland of per capita and less crop yield, farmer can not only depend on the straw to satisfy the general live fuel demand. They have to cut down the trees in the forest which leads to serious soil and water loss and ecological damage. Heat efficiency of special pellet fuel stove is up to 90%, every family only consume 1.5T straw every year which can meet the living fuel request of the whole year. Therefore, billions of biomass fuel can come into the commercial field all over the country, which decrease the consumption ratio of fossil fuel.


 

In developed area of rural area, coal and liquid gas have been widely used as cooking fuel. A large amount of straw are abandoned at the field or be burn directly in the field. This not only wastes resources and pollutes the environment, but also increase the consumption of high greed fuel. If build a biomass pellet fuel factory, both the local famers and biomass plants can make profits from biomass fuel, due to the small scope of collective material and low cost for transportation. The biomass pellet fuel with high density has big improvement of combustion characteristic and it can replace of high quality fuel as cooking fuel, to alleviate the pressure of energy supply. It is significant to strengthening ecological improvement, developing backward area resources, developing the local economic and increasing the farmer’s income.
